"Waiting for confirmation from Guinness Records as to whether we have broken the world record for the largest number of Charleston Dancers"
Don your 20's party gear and come and help us in our attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the greatest number of Charleston Dancers. We need at least 251 people dancing the Charleston for 5 minutes, in costume, to break the record. (A boa and black dress or a snazzy suit and hat will do. Leura Mall will be closed to traffic and Jan, Petar and Amanda Choreographers of the Charleston Challenge Dance Routine will be conducting Charleston lessons throughout the morning prior to the attempt, they will also lead the dance for the Challenge.

The Blue Mountains Flyer (Click Here) will arrive in Leura from Central at 11am bringing Charleston Dancers from the Sydney Region. Festivities include a Welcome to Country, speeches and Charlotte Smith of The Darnell Collection, Festival Ambassador opening the Festival and then the Challenge takes place!
There will be live entertainment from the Greg Poppleton Trio, Penrith Harmony and The Blue Mugs, so plenty of opportunities to dance during the day. The Grand Concert Organ will also feature. There will be a fabulous display of beautiful Vintage Cars, Motor Bikes and other Conveyances including those featured in Underbelly Razor Series and the gorgeous Betty Boop who is featured in the new Great Gatsby movie.
There will be prizes for the best dressed male, best dressed female and best dressed child; Charlotte Smith of The Darnell Collection, will be choosing the winners.
